Supply Partnerships Built to Last -- Not Just the First Container
Door and window manufacturers buying mouldings at scale need more than competitive pricing on the first order. They need a supplier whose batch color, PUR-bonded joint integrity, and replenishment lead times hold consistent across year three and year ten. Goodwood Mouldings has operated in-house production for nearly 30 years specifically to support programs that run that long.
Four Areas Where We Earn Long-Term Programs
Each capability below is delivered entirely in-house -- no subcontracting -- so our quality checkpoints apply at every stage of your moulding's production.
Finger-Jointed Door Casing & Frame Supply
We produce finger-jointed door casings and frames primarily for paint-grade applications. For structural-load situations -- including frames that will carry solid-core or hardwood doors -- we use PUR (polyurethane reactive) structural adhesive rather than standard PVA, providing bond strength suitable for long-term load-bearing use. Specify door weight at inquiry and we'll confirm which adhesive specification applies.
Stable Batch Color Control
We reference RAL and NCS color standards for all primer and paint-grade coating runs. Each production batch is checked against a retained reference sample under our FQC (Final Quality Control) process, with color tolerance documented per batch. For programs running multi-year, we archive batch records so any replenishment order can be matched against the original production reference -- not a re-mixed approximation.
CAD/CNC Pre-Machining
Submit a DXF, DWG, or dimensioned PDF and our team converts it to CNC toolpath directly. Pre-machined components arrive at your facility cut to length, mitered, or rebated to specification -- reducing on-site labor, tooling investment, and the scrap rate that comes from local cutting. This is particularly useful for door frame components with non-standard rebate depths or decorative profiling that varies by product range.
Discontinued SKU Reproduction
We have replicated over 300 discontinued profiles to date -- most initiated when a buyer's previous supplier closed or consolidated their product range. Send us a physical sample or a scaled drawing; we typically have a development sample ready within 3-7 business days depending on profile complexity. For door manufacturers managing product ranges that span legacy and current product lines, this capability provides continuity without a retooling project at your end.

What You Need to Know Before Ordering Door Frame Products
PVA-Bonded Finger-Jointed Frames: Weight Limitation
Standard finger-jointed door frame components assembled with PVA (polyvinyl acetate) adhesive are not suitable for structural-load applications where the hung door exceeds approximately 35 kg. PVA joints in door frames carrying solid-core hardwood doors -- particularly those with wide panel formats or heavy ironmongery -- can creep over time under sustained shear load.
Solution: PUR Structural Adhesive Specification
For frames destined for solid doors, high-traffic commercial applications, or anywhere door weight exceeds 35 kg, we produce the same finger-jointed profiles bonded with PUR (polyurethane reactive) structural adhesive. PUR provides significantly higher resistance to creep, moisture cycling, and long-term shear load. This is not a significant cost premium, but it must be specified at order placement -- retrofitting adhesive type after production is not possible.
Action required: When submitting an inquiry for door frame products, please include the approximate weight of the door leaf and whether the application is residential (light-duty), commercial (medium-duty), or institutional (heavy-duty). We'll confirm the appropriate adhesive specification before quoting.

30 Years of In-House Manufacturing
Xiamen Goodwood Industry Co., Ltd. has operated its own production facility since 1995 -- covering every stage from log intake to export packaging, without outsourced subcontracting. Here is what that means in practice.
Our Factory
A 200,000 m² facility running log processing, finger-jointing, veneering, coating, CNC finishing and packaging entirely under one roof. No outsourced subcontracting -- every stage is traceable and controlled.

Certifications & Compliance
Current certifications include FSC, CARB, EPA, CE, ISO 9001 and E0/E1 emissions standards. Documentation is available to trade buyers during supplier qualification -- we do not require an NDA to share certificate copies.

Discuss a Long-Term Supply Program
If you're qualifying a new moulding supplier for a multi-year program -- or transitioning from a supplier who can no longer meet your volume or consistency requirements -- we're straightforward to evaluate. Tell us your application, target volume, and adhesive requirements, and we'll respond with a capability assessment and preliminary pricing within a few business days.
