Discontinued Moulding Reproduction -- Matched to Your Original Profile

When your original supplier closes, discontinues a profile, or can no longer match your existing trim, we replicate it to specification. We work from physical samples, drawings, or CAD files -- and typically have a development sample ready within 3 to 7 business days.

Core Service Capabilities

Three Reasons Buyers Come to Us for Replacement Profiles

Discontinued trim creates real project risk -- delayed closings, mismatched repairs, and cost overruns. Our reproduction service is built specifically to close that gap quickly and accurately.

300+ Discontinued Profiles Reproduced

We have accumulated reproduction experience across more than 300 discontinued moulding profiles -- spanning solid wood, finger-jointed, MDF and veneered types. That depth of casework means we have likely encountered the same matching challenges your profile presents, and we know where the tolerance-critical dimensions are before production begins.

Profile library spans casing, base, crown, door stop, brick mould and custom architectural trim categories.

3-7 Day Sample Development

Once we receive a physical sample, a dimensioned drawing, or a CAD file, our tooling and CNC team typically has a development sample ready within 3 to 7 business days. This window covers profile digitisation, knife grinding or CNC toolpath generation, first-run production and dimensional QC -- not just a quote or acknowledgement. We flag any material substitution requirements or tolerance concerns before we cut, not after.

Sample development timeline assumes complete reference material is received. Complex profiles with tight radius transitions may require additional days.

CAD/CNC Precision Matching

Every reproduction starts with a dimensioned digital record. We digitise your physical sample or work directly from your CAD file to generate CNC toolpaths, which are verified against the reference at IQC, IPQC and FQC checkpoints. This process produces batch-to-batch dimensional consistency across production runs -- critical when replacement trim must sit flush against existing installed profiles in renovation or repair contexts.

CAD files accepted in DXF, DWG and PDF (dimensioned). Physical samples should be undamaged sections of at least 300mm length for accurate profiling.

Honest Scope & Limitations

What This Service Is -- and What It Isn't

Minimum Order Basis: Full Container, Not Single Pieces

Our reproduction service is structured around container-volume orders -- typically consistent with our standard 20-60 SKU mixed-container model. If your immediate need is a single piece, a handful of linear metres for a repair, or a small trial quantity to assess fit before committing, we recommend starting with a paid sample evaluation: submit your reference, we produce a matched sample for your approval, and you assess feasibility before we discuss production volumes and pricing. Jumping straight to a bulk order without a confirmed sample match carries unnecessary risk for both sides.

Material Substitution May Be Required

If your original profile was produced in a species or substrate that is no longer commercially viable (certain domestic North American hardwoods, for example), we will identify the closest available alternative -- same profile geometry, comparable hardness and finishing behaviour -- and confirm the substitution with you before production. We do not substitute materials without explicit buyer acknowledgement.

Finish Matching Is Separate from Profile Matching

We can reproduce the dimensional profile and substrate with high accuracy. Matching an existing applied finish -- particularly aged stains, distressed textures or proprietary factory-applied coatings -- requires a separate finishing specification and is quoted independently. If you need an unprimed or primed-only profile to apply your own finish on-site, that is straightforward. If you need a factory-finished match to an installed profile, please include finish samples or specifications when you submit your inquiry.
