What certifications does Goodwood Mouldings hold?
Goodwood holds six international certifications: FSC, CARB, EPA, CE, ISO 9001, and E0/E1 -- covering North American, European and international requirements. These certifications apply across our product lines and support import compliance in the US, Canada, UK and the EU.
Are your products CARB Phase 2 compliant for the US market?
Yes. Our CARB certification supports export of MDF and composite wood products into the United States under Phase 2 requirements. If you are importing into California or any US state that has adopted CARB standards, our documentation will support your compliance requirements.
What export documents do you provide?
We provide Commercial Invoice (CI), Packing List (PL) and Certificate of Origin (CO) as standard, supporting efficient customs clearance. Additional documentation -- such as phytosanitary certificates, fumigation records or test reports -- can be arranged where required by your destination market.
Do you offer FSC Chain of Custody sourced material?
Yes, our FSC certification supports Chain of Custody sourcing for customers who require traceable, sustainably sourced material. This is increasingly relevant for customers supplying into green building projects or retail channels with sustainability sourcing policies.
What formaldehyde emission standard do your MDF products meet?
Our MDF products are manufactured to E0/E1 formaldehyde emission standards, in addition to CARB compliance for the US market. E1 is the standard European indoor air quality threshold; E0 represents a more stringent level. We can confirm which standard applies to a specific product line during the quoting process.
How do you manage color consistency across production batches?
We follow a three-stage quality control process -- IQC (Incoming Quality Control), IPQC (In-Process Quality Control) and FQC (Final Quality Control) -- with batch management and traceability records to support consistent color and dimensional control. For long-running programs, retained reference samples from initial production runs are used as benchmarks for subsequent batches.
Can you support custom packaging or private labeling for export?
Yes. We support custom packaging, barcoding, colored labeling and standardized pallet packaging alongside full export documentation. Private label packaging -- where the finished product carries your brand rather than ours -- is a standard service we provide for OEM and distributor customers.

Wood Moulding Terminology
Trade terms, shipping definitions and sourcing model explanations -- written for buyers who are new to sourcing wood mouldings from a Chinese manufacturer.
What's the difference between "moulding," "trim," and "profile"?
"Trim" is often used generically for all linear finishing products in North America. "Moulding" (or "molding" in the US) refers to a decorative profiled piece. "Profile" typically refers to the cross-sectional shape itself -- the geometry that defines what the moulding looks like when viewed end-on. In practice, all three terms are used interchangeably in the trade.
What does "Primed White" mean?
Primed White refers to a product finished with a white sealing primer, ready for the customer to apply their own top coat on-site -- the standard finish preference in the North American market. It provides a consistent base for painting and seals the wood surface against moisture absorption. It is not a finished paint coat and is not intended to be left uncoated in final installation.
What's the difference between FCL and LCL?
FCL (Full Container Load) means a full dedicated container used by a single buyer. LCL (Less than Container Load) means multiple shipments from different buyers share a container, typically consolidated at a freight forwarder's warehouse. Goodwood ships via FCL, with flexible mixed-SKU loading of 20-60 SKUs within each container -- allowing buyers to consolidate their range without the cost and handling complexity of LCL.
What do OEM, ODM and Private Label mean for sourcing wood moulding?
- OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer): We manufacture to your design and specification -- your profile drawings, your tolerances, your finish requirements.
- ODM (Original Design Manufacturer): We offer our own profile library for you to select and brand as your own. You choose from existing tooling; we produce under your label.
- Private Label: The finished product carries your brand rather than ours -- packaging, barcodes, and labeling all reflect your brand identity. We support all three models and can advise on which approach best fits your sourcing situation.
