Serving UK Importers, Distributors & Project Buyers · CE / E1 / FSC / ISO 9001

Timber Moulding Manufacturer & Supplier for the United Kingdom

Xiamen Goodwood Industry Co., Ltd. manufactures solid wood, finger-jointed, MDF and veneered mouldings for UK trade buyers -- skirting boards, architraves, door lining sets and CNC custom profiles. Our products are produced to CE marking requirements, E0/E1 formaldehyde emission standards, FSC chain-of-custody and ISO 9001 quality management -- all verified in-house before shipment.

Why UK Buyers Source from Goodwood

Four capabilities that matter most to UK importers, distributors and project buyers sourcing timber mouldings from China.

EU/UK Compliance Ready

Products manufactured to CE marking requirements under the Construction Products Regulation (CPR), E0/E1 formaldehyde emission limits, FSC chain-of-custody certification and ISO 9001 quality management. Declaration of Performance (DoP) documentation available on request.

CE E0/E1 FSC ISO 9001

CNC Custom Profile Development

CAD/CNC-driven made-to-print production for custom skirting, architrave, door lining and decorative profiles. Send us a physical sample, a drawn reference or a DXF file -- we typically begin sample development within a few business days. Discontinued profiles replicated to date: 300+.

Custom CNC Profiles

100% In-House Production

Our 200,000 m² facility covers the full process -- log intake, finger-jointing, veneering, coating, CNC finishing and export packaging -- with no outsourced subcontracting. IQC incoming inspection, IPQC in-process checks and FQC final inspection at every stage, so quality issues are caught before shipment, not after.

Mixed Container Export

Load 20-60 SKUs per container -- skirting, architrave, door lining and decorative profiles in a single shipment. Private-label packaging, full export documentation (CO, PL, CI) and batch delivery scheduling for project buyers are all supported without minimum-order friction per SKU.

Compliance Capability

CE, E0/E1 & FSC -- Verified Before Shipment, Not After

UK timber moulding buyers importing from China face three compliance requirements that must be met simultaneously: CE marking under the Construction Products Regulation, formaldehyde emission limits under E0 or E1 classification, and FSC chain-of-custody for projects specifying sustainable timber. Here is how our production process addresses each one.

CE Marking (CPR)

Timber mouldings supplied for use in construction in the UK and EU require CE marking under the Construction Products Regulation (EU No 305/2011, retained in UK law post-Brexit as UKCA where applicable). Our MDF and solid wood moulding product lines are produced against declared performance characteristics including reaction to fire, release of dangerous substances and dimensional tolerances.

Declaration of Performance (DoP) documentation is available for each product line. We recommend buyers confirm with their compliance adviser which standard -- CE or UKCA -- applies to their specific application and end market, as the UK regulatory position continues to evolve.

Applicable standard reference: EN 14519 (solid wood panelling and cladding), EN 622 (MDF boards). Product-specific harmonised standards confirmed at quoting stage.

E0 / E1 Formaldehyde Emission

MDF mouldings are manufactured using adhesive systems that meet E1 formaldehyde emission limits (≤ 0.124 mg/m³ air, as per EN 13986) as standard. E0 specification (≤ 0.05 mg/m³) is available for buyers whose projects require the lower threshold -- specify at enquiry stage and we will confirm substrate and adhesive availability.

Solid wood and finger-jointed mouldings use PVA-based finger-joint adhesives; formaldehyde emission from these products is typically well within E1 limits, though buyers should request test reports for their specific application.

Test method: EN 717-1 (chamber method) and EN 120 (perforator method). Third-party test reports available on request.

FSC Chain-of-Custody

Goodwood holds FSC Chain-of-Custody certification, enabling us to supply FSC-labelled mouldings for projects specifying sustainably sourced timber -- including BREEAM-rated commercial developments, social housing contracts and retail specifications that require FSC documentation.

FSC-certified product lines cover solid wood and finger-jointed mouldings. MDF FSC availability depends on substrate sourcing at time of order -- confirm at enquiry stage. FSC project certificates and claim documentation are provided with shipment.

Note: FSC labelling requires the entire supply chain to be FSC-certified. Buyers should confirm their own CoC status if they intend to pass FSC claims to end clients.

MDF & Solid Wood -- Both Compliance-Configurable

Both our MDF and solid wood / finger-jointed moulding product lines can be configured to meet CE, E0/E1 and FSC requirements simultaneously. Common UK profiles -- skirting boards, architraves, door lining sets and window boards -- are available in both substrates. MDF is suited to painted interior applications; solid wood and finger-jointed profiles are preferred where a stained or clear-finish is specified. See our MDF Moulding product page for skirting and architrave profile details and standard sizing.
